Hungry Valley General Plan Update + Environmental Impact Report

The Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Commission certified the Final Environmental Impact Report (FEIR) and approved the General Plan Update for Hungry Valley State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) at a hearing in Valencia on February 26, 2026.

Community involvement played a crucial role in shaping the final plan, with public comments, stakeholder meetings, and environmental review processes ensuring a wide range of perspectives were considered. The plan also addresses long-term challenges, including habitat protection, trail maintenance, and adaptation to climate change. With the approval of the General Plan Update, Hungry Valley SVRA will remain a premier destination for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts while maintaining a strong commitment to environmental stewardship and public engagement. The planning team greatly appreciates all the contributions that helped shape this important plan.
